Dear friends, Thank you very much for your visiting my weblog, "REVIEW about Park Shin-yang =vol.2= " , here. Please enjoy reading my articles about an attractive Korean actor, Mr. Park Shin-yang. My name is Jacaranda. I'm a Japanese fan of Mr.Park shin-yang. I was managing a weblog "REVIEW about Park Shin-yang" in both Japanese and English at first. This is newly begun as the English-language edition independently from there. Inside of the South Korean boom in Japan, I was watching some South Korean TV drama. It had had an appropriate good impression in "Winter Sonata" for me. When I began to watch "Lovers in Paris"which were started for telecasting in March, 2005, I was interested in this drama that was the most popular TV drama in South Korea in 2004. Of the first time, the leading role's actor was not so smart... I didn't understand this drama became popularity so much why. ... To be sure, although a set up was fashionable in Paris, For me, it was a start by a little as cool the impression as... Since the story was interesting and it was pleased, although it will still see next time also. I'd become to find the charm of Mr. Park shin-yang who performed President Mr.Han,Ki-joo as you notice. "Actor Park ,SHINYANG" I want to explore his charm little by little about other performance work of him -- First of all -- I'd like to begin to write about the review of "Lovers in Paris" from now. The Uninvited( 2003)

It is updating after a long time.
Although Mr.PSY has had self determines of his next work recently, since it comes over 1 year greatly (bitter smile.....)
Here, I've watched -- at last -- " The Uninvited " which means as " The table for 4 person " was borrowed from a rental video shop.
It's a psychological horror film.
My comment were fearful....and ...
Since it was advance carried out slowly, I have got bored on the way.
In this film, Mr.PSY is doing very serious performance.( but I did not feel charm at all. Sorry ! Shin-yang !!)
The female protagonist, is Jeon Ji-hyun, who is justly famous for her role as the heroine of the smash hit screwball comedy, “My Sassy Girl”.

Synopsis
Jung-won is an interior designer who falls deeply asleep on his way home.

'Lovers in Paris' Mr.Park SHINYANG appeared to The Seoul Motor Show 2005
which opened at KINTEX ( South Korean International Exhibition Hall ) by 'surprise' .
Mr.Park SHINYANG's appearance did not have in a preliminary announcement at this new model car STATESMAN by Daewoo.GM Corp..
He performed in this popular drama 'Lovers in Paris'
which appeared on the successor of 'GD Automobile Company' last year.

Other Performance Works of PSY

Although the broadcast of " Lovers in Paris " has been completed in Japan,
I have no time to sit down in front of PC very much.
Now, I'm summarizing my impression about other performance works of this actor
Mr.Park Sin-yang.
Many of his fans, and almost all fan of their " favorite actor "
are received impression that all of his works are great!,
all the works with which he appeared are pitiable.
While expressing, I have the impression which is different for a while.
That's been feeling for the past several weeks in my mind.
From " Try to Snatch My Heart " I've watched two other works of SHINYANG.
(1) Movie " White Valentine " (1999 work)
(2) TV drama " Try to Snatch My Heart " (1998 work)
I'd like to say honestly......
Both these works were not interesting for me.
It is why or ... however Mr. Park Sin-yang may not perform like
Mr. Han Ki-joo in " Lover in Paris ".
It would be because of the character which does not feel an intense charm from him.
Especially, " White Valentine "...,
his long hair and dress were so strange!!
Of course, my opinion would be unique in his fans.
Since it may be feeling an unbearable charm for him
who performs the character with which such " tenderness " overflows
for many SHINYANG's fans...
 Anyhow, there is a work which I want to surely look at next.
It's the movie of the 2001 work " Indian Summer ".
Searching to the network, it was found.
The one scene of this movie has been printed on my eye.
Probably, I think that it's the last scene in the waiting room of a court in this movie...
A lawyer who is looking down intently .
The door of the room from which the heroin taken in another room is almost closed.
--- She is still watching him...
He found her over the door -- just before being closed.
Then,her eyes tears of him who raised his face at last.
She smiles lonesome with tears...
As for me, it's the scene with quiet and sad emotion.
I have never forgotten.....
I think that it is the skill of his expression shown on the charm of those who
is called an actor of Park Sin-yang in each of its scene.

I'd like to write a report,
although it continues to become the slow pace of touch of about 1 time for a week.
Please associate well.
Now, It's the first time for me to watch Mr.Park Shin-yang's work, " Lover in Paris ".
Since I have known SHIN=YANG and I became his fan,
I've had chance to watch the performance work of his past after this drama work.
Here,since it has been a little worrisome about his face
when removing his glasses in the ice hockey scene at this drama.
Today's theme is " His Charm of GLASSES ".
I think that Mr.PSY's face shown as a typical " South Korean Man "
( When you read this sentence, it is ... although booing is likely to come against me !? ).
His eyelid is one layer and rather looks superficial.
Therefore, his charm is completed when he wears glasses.
Don't you think so?
Can't you say that all of Mr. Park Shin-yang's performance works is pleasing for us,
but would be , the tastes of his work come out in such meanings?
I don't have good impression for his hairstyle
which is mentioned all forelock and shows his frame.
Of course, it's also attractive enough for him without glasses in the cinema
which is for example, " The Big Swindle " and ...so on.
Comparing with the person who became Mr.Bae Young-joon's fan after watching " Winter Sonata " ,
I think that Mr.PSY has the fan layer of a different type from Mr.Bae Young-joon.
Now, many women's heart is caught by both SHINYANG and Mr. " The Young Noble with Smile ", Bae Yong Joon on CF works.
Their glasses have already given them the status as " Young Noble ".
I always go and have books for lent from a public library.
Today, I found the book " South Korea is Dramatic ". ( the author by Ms.Tashiro /July, 2003 issued in Japan )
There is such an interesting report.
An intellectual man is liked in South Korea. Therefore, probably, there are many great stars who are wearing glasses.
In South Korea, the person who is wearing glasses has likable from people.
For example, Mr. Han Suk-gyu, Park Shin-yang, Bae Young-joon, etc...
Of course, when they act by the role even when they wear no glasses,
they are the star who have glasses as the trademarks .
I have a surprise and a joy that were appeared already around in 2003
for the name of Mr.Park SHINYANG in the book in this way.
The Ending of " Lovers in Paris "

The ending of this drama is quite unique and some good impressive for me.
The Story ended when Tae-young and Ki-joo could have met in Paris again.
They were talking by the side of the Seine and watched the sunset together.
After a while.....
In Seoul Tae-young( another lady who has the same name as ) is almost finishing to type on her employer's Laptop computer in his Apartment.
She is his house-keeper.
After that she went out to the fountain in the center of park and she wished that she can get a true love like her screenplay.
One day, they met by chance in the town.
So that means.....
Their entire love story was Tae-young's imagination for the story.
But in the last scene of the story,
accidentally, she met and blamed against a man who looks like Ki-joo in the first scene in Paris.
So that it is starting to come true.....
They are just letting us know that Tea-young and Ki-joo will be able to meet somewhere and somehow.
I have a some good impression that what to tell from this story is that a Cinderella-Story like love story can happen to anyone else.
Also, when people with the heart which is warm and sympathizes with other people,
we who fall in love with each other can gain a hopeful and happy life despite of their differences.
This is what the writers of the series are trying to show and tell for us as televiewers.
Linguistic capability of Mr.Han Ki-joo

Having dared hanging up over today's title with "Mr. Han,Ki-joo",
---- It isn't about Mr. Park Shin-yang related with him --
Since I have not actually heard his spoken Foreign Languages...
..... In saying,
it is the talk by Ki-joo in the drama of " Lover in Paris ".
Because that it is as the actor,
of course, It would be practiced as some "Scripts" ---
Although it will be taken about which it is speaking naturally.
Even so, it would be shown the base of Mr.PSY’s ability of languages having there were slightly impressive scenes in the drama.
He speaks both in English and French with some Korean provincial accents.
It is very clear and fluent English, of course!

I forgot his spoken Japanese!!
It was heard that Ki-joo spoke also in Japanese when he attended a meeting with the staff of a Japanese company.
So,I was able to listen his spoken Japanese
on the next day [of a meeting] having ...
just a little bit -- Japanese -- it's spoken by him.
